Thom Dunn is a Boston-based writer, musician, and utterly terrible dancer. He is the singer/guitarist for the indie rock/power-pop the Roland High Life, as well as a staff writer for the New York Times’ Wirecutter and a regular contributor at BoingBoing.net. Thom enjoys Oxford commas, metaphysics, and romantic clichés (especially when they involve whiskey), and he firmly believes that Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" is the single greatest atrocity committed against mankind. He is a graduate of Clarion Writer's Workshop at UCSD ('13) & Emerson College ('08).

Alejandro and the Fame: Live In Concert

For those who missed (or those who simply want to relive it), here's the complete (minus the talky parts) Alejandro & the Fame performance from last Friday, May 20, at the Boston University Theatre for the Huntington Theatre Company's 35 Below party. It was pretty epic. (and yes, some of the video is blocked by people, but you were more interested in listening than seeing anyway, weren't you? Thought so)

We also did an encore of a Foo Fighters song that we never actually rehearsed. The songs we played were all the songs we knew, but the crowd really wanted an encore, and most of us knew the song, so we tried went with it. One girl even grabbed our lead singer from the crowd and said "I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU PLAY JUST PLAY ANYTHING." So we did.
